Stefano Imbert was born and raised in Rome, Italy, where he has provided illustrations for jewelry design, tourist merchandise, architectural and set designs, and especially greeting cards.

Since relocating to New York City, Stefano has provided poster design and illustration for theatres nationwide, including Lark Theatre Company, Hartford Stage Company, Western Kentucky University, Boomerang Theatre Company’s 2005 & 2006 seasons, the 2005 New York Musical Theatre Festival, and Philadelphia Children’s Theatre’s 2004 through 2007 seasons. His most recent illustrations are featured in the 2006-2007 merchandise catalog for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS.

His illustrations appear in Ecofilia, a children’s book published in Italy in 2004, and in the US he is finishing his own children’s book as both illustrator and writer. In addition, Stefano has created various greeting cards, invitations, and brochure art for numerous individuals and organizations.

Stefano is an alumnus of both “Istituto d’Arte” in Rome, with both a Maestro d’Arte and a Maturita` d’Arte Applicata (Masters of Applied Art), and School of Visual Arts in New York City, with a BFA from the Department of Illustration.

Stefano was employed in the New York City studio of world-renowned illustrator James McMullan from 2000 until its relocation in October 2003. In 2002, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, and was recently awarded the 2004 Timmy Award for “Artist of the Year.” An active member of the Graphic Artists Guild, Stefano serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Illustrators New York as International Ambassador.
